About the series
Birds have appeared in my life time and again, and I always reinterpret them in different forms, techniques, and mediums. Previously, I explored the theme of Hungarian birds through a larger watercolor series; now, in recent months, I have revisited my favorite birds—but this time in an abstract style, stepping outside my comfort zone.
This series captures the colors, energy, and emotions of birds, so instead of traditional depictions, the focus is on colors, shapes, and the power of the moment in each painting. Thus, the series is not only about birds but also about change, constant reinvention, and my own artistic journey.

About me
I’m Dora Koreny, a Hungarian watercolor and acrylic painter. My passion is nature, birds, and the world of colors. I have been painting since 2014, and since then, hundreds of artworks in various themes and techniques have been created by my hand, mainly acrylic canvases and watercolors. Since 2018, I have created my works under the Dora Koreny Paintings brand, which has since produced hundreds of paintings, solo exhibitions, children’s book illustrations, and international commissions. My works are most often inspired by nature – birds, trees, soft moods, and vibrant colors – but I am constantly seeking new themes and techniques.
